Natural gas

South Africa produces about 930,000 tonnes of natural gas.


South Africa has the world’s ninth largest recoverable coal reserves and holds 95 percent of Africa’s total coal reserves. The production are estimated to be between 60 billion and 100 billion tons

The national parks include; Karoo National Park, Tsitsikamma National Park, Augrabies Falls National Park, Golden Gate Highlands National Park, Mountain Zebra National Park, Bontebok National Park, Marakele National Park, Wilderness National Park, Ai-Ais Richtersveld Transfrontier Park, Mapungubwe National Park, Namaqua National Park, Ithala Game Reserve, West Coast National Park, Agulhas National Park, Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve, Mkuze Game Reserve, Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, Addo Elephant Park, Camdeboo National Park, Table Mountain National Park, Knysna National Lake Area, Pilanesberg Game Reserve, Kruger Park, Mokala National Park, Tankwa Karoo National Park.

The animals in national parks include; Buffalo, black eagle, antelope species, rhino, lion, elephant, leopard and Black Wildebeest.
