Transport

Mauritania has about 11,066 kilometers of road ways, 728 kilometers of narrow gauge railway and 28 airports. About 2,966 kilometers of road network are paved and 10 airports have paved runways.

Energy

Electricity, biomass and oil are the main sources of energy. Oil represents 60% of total energy consumption and is mainly used by the transport sector (60%) and for electricity production (30%). Mauritania has proven oil reserves of 13 Metric Tons.
