Oil is the backbone of the Angola’s economy and contributes to over 90% of the country’s exports. Angola is currently producing over 1 million b/d output.
Minerals
Diamond is the second export to oil and the major diamond reserves are located in northeastern Angola. The good quality of diamond has enabled Angola to be listed among the main diamond producers.
The black granite is on demand and exported to United States and Japanese markets.
Agricultural products
The agriculture exports include the following;
- Coffee
- Sisal
- Cotton
- Lumber
- Fish
Angola main exports partners are China (more than 40% of total exports), followed by the
United States, India, France, Taiwan, South Africa and Canada.
