Peoples Republic of Angola

Peoples Republic of Angola is located on the West coast of Southern Africa and extends over an area of 1,246,700 Km2.

Angola is bordered with Congo-Brazzaville at the Northern Province of Cabinda, the Democratic Republic of Congo (former Zaïre) to the North and East, Zambia to the East, Namibia to the South and South Atlantic Ocean to the west.

There are eighteen provinces in Angola. Moxico (Moshiko) with 223,023 square kilometres is the largest province followed by Cuando Cubango with 199,049 square kilometres. Cabinda with an area of 7,000 square kilometres is the smallest province.


Angola has ten mountains Mount Moco(Morro de Moco) which is 2,620 meters is the highest and Mount Sacotiquite is the smallest with 2,438 meters.

Angola has twelve national Parks with Lona National Park being the biggest


Angola has an Atlantic Ocean coastline of 1,650 Km long.
